Drone (UAV) mapping captures large areas of land in a fraction of the time a ground survey would take, producing high-resolution orthomosaics, 3D models, and volumetric data. Axis Geo-System Consultants uses UAV/drone mapping systems to deliver fast, safe, and cost-effective surveys for large sites.
What It Involves
Using drone-mounted cameras and photogrammetry software, we fly a site in a grid pattern, capturing thousands of overlapping images that are processed into an orthomosaic (a stitched, geo-referenced aerial photo), a digital surface model, and a 3D mesh. This is especially valuable for large land parcels, quarries, construction sites, and areas that are difficult or unsafe to survey on foot.
